How often do you test your blood sugars?

I'm supposed to test three times a day, but I'm usually lucky if I manage to do it three times per week. For one thing it's a pain in the a...er...finger, and for another, I usually forget to test in the mornings, and by the time I get home late at night, I'm just too darned tired.

I'm actually supposed to test twice a day (I have hyperinsulinemia and slightly elevated blood sugars).

I too also told my doctor he would be lucky if I tested twice a month!

I just refuse to stick my finger that often!

Usually I test when I "feel weird" and find that I am either way high or way low. My doctor just rolls her eyes when the subject comes up.

I usually only test when I am feeling "off". After a year and a half it is easy to recognize. I have noticed that stress tends to send it soaring so during times of high stress I try to monitor it at least once a day.

I'm supposed to test twice a day but sometimes I don't. I am trying to get better about things like this because it is my health.

My doctor has suspected Type 1 diabetes for me and iam required to test before meals and bedtime, 1-2 hours after meals and during night as needed.
