View Full Version : Keep Cake Icing in Your Pocket

You know those little tubes of cake icing that your write on the cake with -- well they are full of sugar.

If you keep one in your pocket or purse, it is readily available if your sugar starts to drop. They are inexpensive (about 1-2 dollars) and have a cap -- so it won't get ruined in your bag.

If your sugar is dropping, just squeeze some icing onto your tongue or under your tongue and it will help raise your sugar until you can get something to eat.

My father did this and it was a lifesaver more than once (literally).

This is great advice. One of my friends injects insulin and gets hypoglycemic from time to time. I'll have to share this idea with her.

My father in law was also a diabetic and he always kept orange juice and candy bars on hand. I like the idea of the cake icing though because, down here in Florida, chocolate doesn't last very long in the heat lol.
