Mine usually seems to run right around 200, which drives my doctor crazy since she wants me to keep it at 120 or below.

Mine runs between 110-130 which my doctor says is borderline diabetic. To me it is normal. Any lower than that and I feel like crap. My grandma who went from using insulin to a diet and the occasional glucophage pill runs right about 130-140. When hers gets low enough to make the doctor happy at about 115 she feels like crap.

I think everyone is different as to how their bodies respond to wears there blood sugar is. The doctors don't seem to take into consideration that one thing is not necessarily right for everyone. Now maybe in the perfect world were everyone was a size 6 with a small bone structure and a body mass on 15% The perfect sugar level would be 115 but in the real world that just isn't so.

I start to feel crummy when my blood sugar gets to about 80, but one of my friends is diabetic and she feels lousy at anything below 120. They realized years ago that not everyone has a "normal" temperature of 98.6 (mine actually runs around 97), maybe not everyone has the same "normal" blood sugar either.

My temperature runs lows too as does my blood pressure. There should be a range that is considered normal for blood sugar but the try and hold everyone to that is ridiculous...

My fasting sugar is about 120.

I get very symptomatic at about 55. But when I hit 55 I crash hard and fast. Unfortunately, I don't usually have symptoms (of low blood sugar) until I crash.

Crashes are just the worst, aren't they? Even after I get my blood sugar back up, I feel tired and drained for hours afterwards, and all I want to do when I get home from work is fall into bed.

Let's all remember that one of the worst things for a diabetic is the drastic fluxuations in blood sugar. Allowing it to drop too low then causing a spike does more damage to you than it running a little higher than what is considered normal.

Since I have been using Byetta, my blood sugar has been running within range. I don't test like I should. My doctor runs one of those AIC tests and it usually turns out within range.
