Yeah, my doctor nailed me with that one last time.

Since I'm pretty bad about remembering to take blood sugars on a regular basis, I actually don't mind this test so much. At least it lets me know when I'm running high.

I agree Calypso, I'd much rather have that test done once a month than have to stick my finger every day (or worse, several times per day).

Unfortunately, if you're on insulin, its kind of impossible to get around that fingersticking deal.

I know. My father used to cheat all month and then go walking for 2 days before his doctor's appointments. He was really shameless!

Yep i agree with you.The Hgb A1c Blood Test is more than a 3 month average blood sugar. It let us know how well the diabetes is being managed...The test being done once a month gives us a sign of relief definitely.
