I don't have diabetes but I have been doing some research. I'm 17 years old and im slightly overweight, i have some dry skin on my joints (arms) and I was wondering if that means i'm diabetic.
also, how do you lose weight? i have tried runnning, dieting, fasting, nothing works!
thx

Welcome to the forum! I would not worry about the dry skin yet. It does not mean you are diabetic. Loosing weight will help just about anyone. Not just diabetics. Most people lose weight through regular exercise, and simply watching what you eat. Is there a history of diabetes in your family?

Without a doubt, the best way to lose weight is to exercise several times per week and to count calories. One tip for you is that there are many great software programs out there that can help with this.

ALWAYS watch your portions and try to stay away from fast food. Drink lots of water and Exercise. I found I get more motivated to exercise with a friend.
Good Luck
