Hello everyone. I?m new here. My mom has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She?d really like to control it with natural supplements (as much as possible). Does anyone have any suggestions?

This seems to be a very popular question. Here are 2 articles:
Herbs for Diabetes (http://www.diabetessymptomsonline.com/herbs-diabetes.htm) & Herbal Treatment for Diabetes (http://www.diabetessymptomsonline.com/herbal-treatment-diabetes.htm)
that discuss possibilities.

I've heard of using Cinnamon extract to help regulate blood sugar levels. My friend has found one that she really likes. It is Vitabase Cinnulin-PF. It's not a miracle product but along with diet and excerise. It seems to being helping her. Hope this might help.

Thanks for the input. I actually had a chance to check out the articles you suggested, T_Dia. Appreciate the info. I need to look up the Vitabase cinnamon product. I've heard good things about their products before. Thanks hamrickm for the suggestion. My mom would like to take as few products as possible. Is your friend taking anything else for blood sugar levels (outside of prescription medication)? There seems to be so much out there. It's hard, and can be expensive too, to narrow things down.

According to a recent study coffee will do that.

Hi there.
When choosing a diabetes supplement, you must keep in mind what ingredients does it have? You've to ensure that the one you're choosing does have all natural components such as gymnena silvestre, bitter melon, cinnamon, banaba and other similar extracts.
It has been shown from clinical trials that these herbs' exctracts are very good at lowering high blood sugar levels naturally, with no side effects like our ancestors did.
